Anne Marsh, MD

Director, Pediatric Sickle Cell Clinic

UCSF Benioff Children's Hospitals

Dr. Marsh is a Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist and is the Director of the Pediatric Sickle Cell Program at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. She attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in Madison, Wisconsin. An avid Badger fan, she stayed in Madison for her Pediatric Residency training, before heading to Oakland, California where she completed Fellowship training in Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at what is now UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland. Her clinical love and primary role is taking care of ~250 children and young adults living with sickle cell disease. She enjoys being part of a team that delivers quality, compassionate care to children and families who otherwise often face disparities in healthcare. She believes in taking a whole-person approach to wellness, believes that it is in connection that we thrive, and believes that both patients and caregivers benefit from fostering programs within healthcare systems that value, honor and reward compassion.
