Marijka Grey, MD, MBA, FACP
Executive Leader for Transformation Implementation, Physician Enterprise
Catholic Health Initiatives
In her career, Marijka Grey, MD, MBA, FACP has had many roles – physician, internist, electronic health records champion, quality director, clinical practice transformation expert and even medical group president – with one common thread between these roles: creating a better health care system that works for both the patient and the teams that provide the care. Her variegated healthcare background has unintentionally prepared her for her current passion and role: Executive Leader for Practice Transformation for Catholic Health Initiatives’ physician enterprise. Following in the path of the religious sisters who formed the organization, she is committed to creating changes, both large and small, that contribute to the quadruple aim: better care, better outcomes, lower cost and a purposeful, joyful workplace. These changes, in her opinion, rest on creating a firm structure on which we can combine a workforce that is able to get the right information at the right time, each team member working to his/her highest capacity, patients who are enabled to be active participants in their care and the technology to pull all of this together. Her ultimate goal is to restore the sanctity of the clinician-patient relationship by removing the barriers that inadvertently hinder true, compassionate human connection.
