Sarah Elizabeth Richards is a San Diego-based journalist who reports on biotech and genomics for WIRED, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Smithsonian Magazine, NBC News, Time and The Atlantic. She recently wrote a long-form piece for WIRED about Illumina scientist Ryan Taft’s quest to use DNA sequencing to diagnose children’s mysterious illnesses.
