Shantha joined Avalon as its Chief Operating Officer in 2017. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, leads the Information Technology, Claims Operations, Clinical Operations, Client Implementation and Corporate development activities. Prior to Avalon, Shantha had been the Chief Operating Officer of Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island, Staff VP of Medical Business Solutions at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. In addition, she spent several years in Information Technology roles at Humana, International Data Group and as an IT consultant at Toyota. Shantha holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from University of Bombay and a PG in Computer Applications from National Institute of Information Technology, India.
