Ivor Horn, MD, MPH is Clinical Advisor to Accolade, which focuses on healthcare consumer engagement and blending human touch and innovative technology to improve health outcomes. Accolade helps people navigate their care options and health benefits, through support at every stage of their healthcare experience. Dr. Horn served as Chief Medical Officer at the company where she was responsible for Accolade’s clinical strategy including clinical product development, data analytics and quality improvement. Prior to Accolade, Dr. Horn served as Medical Director of the Center for Diversity and Health Equity at Seattle Children’s Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Horn earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College and her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her pediatric internship and residency at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland, California, completed fellowship training in general academic pediatrics at Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC and earned an MPH from the George Washington University School for Public Health and Health Sciences. Dr. Horn is a board-certified pediatrician and Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. A national speaker and author of several publications on the influence of social factors on health outcomes, health equity and health innovation, Dr. Horn has over 20 years of experience as an NIH-funded investigator and primary care pediatrician. She lives in Seattle with her husband and two children.
